The reason I ignored the sink is it more of a Kafka Connect thing. Once Debezium puts the change events into a topic, it has done its part.

But I agree with you. There could've been a sink configuration to make it an end to end scenario.

I've noted that and will include in the next Debezium article I'm working on.
